I love all kinds of music, for example I enjoy playing jazz, classical music, Chinese and Japanese music. I have studied (classical) saxophone at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. Besides that I've also studied theoretical physics at the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam.

At the moment I focus mainly on playing chamber music and Chinese Music.

Natsuko Tamaru and I have a piano-saxophone duo, you can read more about it here.

And together with Kimho Ip (Hong Kong composer and yangchin player) I've been playing Chinese Music for quite some time now. Not only have we given many concerts, in concert halls ranging from London, Amsterdam, Berlin to Beijing, but we've also performed on radio and television. We've also recorded the CD 'Runaway Horses', the first saxophone yangchin CD ever (possibly).

Besides that we think it's really valuable to organise educational projects, for schoolchildren for example.

In addition to making music and teaching, at the Gemeentelijke Muziekschool Bloemendaal Jaap Prinsen, I've been working on my iPhone/iPad App iPlaySax.
